I just realized that it’s been a long time since I last posted in my blog – I mean, actually make a write-up, review and/ or feature any of my recent food and restaurant finds and weekend get-away. Well, I.AM.BACK.

Last week, Fri, 23-Nov-2012, my ever busy and always on the go friend Joy Caasi (http://www.thethrifttrip.com/) (http://lookbook.nu/jhoysi) invited me to attend SONY’s launch. I didn’t know what they were launching nor how many people would go so I just came prepared with my SLR and grabbed the first (not so short, not so long) black dress from my closet. Now that was 1 of those days when I know that a woman can never have too many black dresses in her stash! *wink* We headed to the venue at Dusit Thani (Ballroom A & B) and having gone from Ortigas to Makati on a Friday evening, you can only imagine how much traffic jam we had to bear with. It was dreadful. We got there at 7:30PM, registered (blew my ticket for the ballot good luck!) and grabbed our loot bag. Oh, was I giddy?! Yes, I was! With a tiny, white 8GB USB (Micro Vault™ TINY), wrist band (can also be used for bags, etc..) and a Saphira P200.00 voucher, I knew our travel was all worth it; and the night hasn’t even began! We were given privileged seats beside the stage giving us full access for close-up shots of the models and speakers and not to mention, DINNER WAS SERVED.

The event was set off with an opening remark from Mr. Mike Bangayan, President of Banbros Commercial, Inc., the official distributor of Sony RME products immediately followed by Mr. Takayuki Takemura, Deputy Director of Sony South East Asia Recording Media and Energy. The Sony South East Asia RME, introduced three of their newest product line, the Micro Vault™ TINY, HD-E1 Hard disk drive, and USB Stick Charger unveiling it through a fashion show showcasing these products as part of the clothing design or as an accessories embodying their society’s diverse genre and lifestyle.

Guess who won a SONY DCR-SR21 handycam? Yes, me! I was telling Joy before the 2nd winner was drawn that I’d jump if I get picked and just after I blurted that, the host called out my name. *Giddy*

Dinner – It was sumptuous! From appetizer to main course and desserts, everything was prepared in generous servings.

Overall, this is yet another magnificent event with more innovations from one of the leading manufacturers of electronics products for the consumer and professional markets.
